Frequently asked questions
How much smaller will my image get?
Photos typically shrink 60–90% as WebP or JPEG at quality around 80 with no visible loss. Drag the quality slider and watch the before/after sizes update live.
Why doesn't the quality slider affect PNG?
PNG is lossless — there is no quality knob to turn. That is why PNG sources are exported as WebP by default; pick JPEG or WebP to actually shrink the file.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Compression runs on your browser's canvas, so files never leave your device — which also makes it fast for large photos.
