What is EXIF data?
Metadata cameras and phones embed in JPEG photos: make and model, lens, shutter speed, aperture, ISO, focal length, timestamps — and often GPS coordinates of the exact spot.
Can I see where a photo was taken?
If the photo contains GPS tags, the coordinates are shown with a link to view the location on a map. Many social platforms strip this data on upload, which is why some photos show none.
Is the photo uploaded to read its metadata?
No. The file is parsed locally in your browser. To remove the metadata before sharing, use the EXIF & Metadata Remover tool.
